Hall-effect joysticks should generally be supplied with +5V and have an output of 0-5V. Industrial applications require 24V and a control voltage of ±10V.
The MJA-499 converter box realizes these conversions. It allows to supply a 2-axis joystick directly with a voltage between 12 and 30VDC by delivering an output of ±10V. It also provides a center detection signal.
