The MJA-526 adds 4 contacts per axis to a joystick. The first contact is activated when the joysticks leaves the central position and the second one when it reaches its end of travel, for the 4 directions X+, X-, Y+, Y-. Upon request, the relative positions of the switches can be adjusted. In order to prevent oscillations, the electronics are designed with a hysteresis of a few degrees.
